Full browser testing

So why should you have your website tested in a range of browsers?

Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) and Firefox 3.5 have recently been rolled out, and in some cases as an automatic update; therefore, many of your customers will now be using these browsers instead of earlier versions. CSI Media has seen a massive increase in website visitors who use IE8. This information can be found in the CSI Media blog.

Some old websites which have not been changed to accommodate for the update may have code which is no longer valid under new browsers’ strict guidelines. Ultimately this may cause layout and functionality issues.

Some websites and online services, such as YouTube and Google AdWords, are phasing out support for old browsers or are prompting visitors to update their current browsers to get the best from their online services.
