Cruise Direct is an industry leading Cruise holiday provider offering everything from luxury Cruises around the Mediterranean to family cruises on-board Royal Caribbean sailing the Caribbean.
Redesign & develop the existing website so introduce a better customer experience and user interface across devices with the existing platform being non responsive this was the biggest goal. The new website must conform to AA Accessibility and provide high speed page performance. The revised solution must use Umbraco CMS and allow the client to create their own landing pages and cruise incentive banners using components from a central library to support their internal marketing team. An integration into the clients existing CRM must be delivered along with a new integration into a third party travel supplier allowing the client to take online bookings. Requirements set out that the website must also include functionality for AMP Pages, brand able Cruise liner pages, reviews, blogs, social media integration and media uploads for imagery and videos.
CSI Media provided a custom Umbraco build to handle the CMS portion of the brief, allowing clients to keep the content of the website updated with the latest Ship information, create destination and incentive landing pages as well as providing a bespoke tool that essentially allows clients to design their own landing pages using components from the design library. The project included a re-design of the entire user flow from homepage and search through to results, online booking and confirmation. We provided a bespoke integration with a third party travel provider allowing Cruise Direct customers to book their cruises online; we also pull data from flat files daily to keep the content based website updated with the latest pricing and itineraries. Our solution integrated bookings and call-back requests into the Clients CMS.
