Formed in 1976, Cargiant is London’s largest reseller of used cars with an expansive portfolio of over 10,000 cars from Mini Coopers to Mercedes, from Pickup Trucks to Coupes. Cargiant pride themselves on providing excellent service, and value integrity in dealings with all stakeholders; customers, suppliers, partners and employees. They have won multiple awards including Used Car Retailer of the Year, Car Supermarket of the Year and Independent Dealer of the Year.
Cargiant identified multiple issues with the website design. Conversions for the main Call to Actions were low and key menus were not accessible on mobile devices. Furthermore, there were no dedicated landing pages for vehicles, whilst the marketing team emphasised the cluttered and dark nature of the design. Cargiant approached CSI Media to help address these key issues and improve the user experience. Phase 1 would see the re-design of the homepage, search results and vehicle landing pages. These designs would then be adopted for the remaining marketing and information landing pages by the client’s internal developers.
We produced responsive designs for the new homepage, search results, vehicle product and manufacturer landing pages, enabling customers to view and use the website on their mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
Vehicles now have a dedicated landing page allowing users to view more information.
By approaching the project in a phased manner and not redesigning the entire website, it allowed us to conduct research and obtain feedback from Cargiant’s stakeholders - this enabled us to fine-tune the design before rolling out across the whole website.
